Botanical Bliss

Mrs T's Handmade Soap made it's debut in the rolling hills of Kentucky 35+ years ago.
It started as a simple homeschool project for our children. We were studying pioneer life and
making old-fashioned "lye soap" seemed like the perfect way to finish off our chapter.
By digging deeper into soap making, including the history of soapmaking and the chemistry involved,
I found I loved all the aspects of soapmaking. I was hooked!
I learned that different oils contribute different properties to soap.
Some oils provide for more suds, some better moisturizing or more clarifying
and some contribute to very gentle cleansing for sensitive skin.
Thus, Mrs. T's was born. Our soap is still made in very small batches, using quality
all vegetable and plant based oils and other "skin- friendly" ingredients,
cut and packaged entirely by hand.
